Plan, execute and finalize projects for the maintenance of all Terminal facilities, according to plan and within strict deadlines and budget.

JOB PURPOSE

Responsibility to plan, execute and finalize projects for the maintenance of all Terminal facilities, according to plan and within strict deadlines and budget.  This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the effort of team members and third-party contractors / consultants.  Define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout the life of the project.   

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents; communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion and liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals; draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
  • Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the Company; determine and assess the need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments (if needed) during project cycle
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholder; identify and manage project dependencies and critical path; plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools, and track project milestones and deliverables
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations; conduct project post mortem, identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise team members and contractors
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • PMP or other Project Management certification
  • Minimum 10 years’ working experience in construction, at least 5 years at the managerial level
  • Proven people management experience
  • Proficiency in the use of technical drawing tools such a AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of the requirements for management of third-party contractors
  • Skilled in project design, negotiating, managing budgets
  • Strong judgment, analytical, problem solving and analysis
  • Project management, organizing, time management
  • Communication and collaboration
