Quantum Legal seeks a detail-oriented, organised, and self-motivated Civil Attorney to join our dynamic legal team.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide legal representation, including the preparation, filing, and service of court documents.
• Manage client communication, both written and verbal, with professionalism and discretion.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and case files in both digital (Clio) and physical formats.
• Utilize Clio Legal Software tools, maintaining a minimum 65% utilization rate monthly.
• Bill and collect legal fees in accordance with firm procedures.
• Schedule client appointments, interviews, and follow-ups, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
• Communicate with court officers and other relevant stakeholders.
• Travel outside of Port-of-Spain for service or delivery of legal documents when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all firm policies, including those in the Quantum Legal Employee Guidelines and Policies Handbook.
• Contribute to office management improvements and demonstrate performance growth in key indicators.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and substance-free working environment.
• Answer telephone calls, take accurate messages, and ensure timely follow-up.
• Ensure visitors comply with health and safety protocols; keep proper visitor records.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Legal Education Certificate (LEC) from a recognized institution.
• Admission to practice law in Trinidad and Tobago.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar legal environment preferred.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, and SharePoint).
• Experience using legal practice management software (preferably Clio).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• High standard of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
