GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

The Chief Operations Officer has direct oversight of all Banking Operations, Credit Administration, Recoveries, Information Technology Management Services, Marketing & Corporate Communications, Admin & Security and Card Services, functions of the Bank.  The incumbent plays an integral role in strategy development and execution, providing effective and inspiring leadership while supporting the Bank’s growth strategy to enhance the overall customer and employee experience.

  • Actively participates in the development and implementation of strategies to position Bank of Saint Lucia for profit and growth.
  • Actively leads and influences the implementation and achievement of the current and future Strategic and Operational Plans.
  • Is a member of the Executive Team with shared accountability for all aspects of the Bank’s operations.
  • Leads operational infrastructure to effectively support the execution of business strategy, transformation, and service quality.
  • Reports to the Managing Director and relevant Board Committees on economic, trade and other conditions or factors which may influence Management and Board decision-making in the formulation or modification of organizational policy.
  • Maintains strong focus on creating and maintaining a seamless integrated operating model across services and operating centers within the operations division and the Bank.
  • Drives the execution of the Bank’s strategies for Information Technology Management Services, Credit Administration, Back Office Operations, Recoveries, Marketing & Corporate Communications, Admin & Security and Card Services with a strong focus on understanding the impact on the customer and business; prioritizes change initiatives in order to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • A combination of a first degree and post graduate qualification in Banking Business, Economics, Finance, or related fields.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in Banking or Finance industry.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ related experience in a Senior Management position at a Commercial Bank.
  • Proven track record of inspirational leadership.
  • Financial Management experience.
