We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Full-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the financial operations of the Group and guide strategic decisions to continue our growth and success.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Full-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the financial operations of the Group and guide strategic decisions to continue our growth and success. This position requires a strong background in finance and strategic leadership, and experience in the construction and consulting sectors would be an asset but are not essentially required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy & Leadership
    • Lead the financial strategy for the company, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Provide financial insights to the executive team, helping to shape business strategy and decision-making.
    • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls that safeguard the company’s assets.
    • Manage corporate finance functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Financial Management & Reporting
    • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for senior management, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with all accounting standards and regulatory requirements (IFRS)
    • Manage the company’s cash flow, liquidity, and financial risk.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Lead the development of annual operating budgets and multi-year financial forecasts.
    • Monitor financial performance against budget, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
    • Provide actionable financial insights to project managers and senior leadership to support project-based financial planning and cost control.
  • Risk Management & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
    • Evaluate and mitigate financial risks across the organization, including exposure to market fluctuations, construction project delays, and client creditworthiness.
    • Supervise internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory and accounting standards.
  • Mergers, Acquisitions, & Investment Strategy
    • Lead financial due diligence efforts for potential mergers, acquisitions, or investment opportunities.
    • Evaluate business expansion opportunities and provide financial recommendations to senior management.
    • Manage relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
    • Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring seamless communication between finance and other departments.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team and across the organization. 

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Master's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • CPA or CMA 
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a senior executive position.
    • Proven experience in the construction and/or consulting industry is highly preferred.
    • Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management in project-based environments.
    • Strong understanding of construction project financials, including job costing, contract management, and cash flow analysis.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and industry best practices desirable
    • Ability to make strategic decisions under pressure and in complex environments.
    • Proficiency with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
