Chief Corporate Pilot

The Chief Corporate Pilot will be responsible for leading and overseeing all flight operations, ensuring safety, compliance and efficiency within the aviation division. This includes managing the flight crew, establishing and enforcing operational standards and ensures all flights are conducted in accordance with applicable aviation regulations and company policies. The Chief Corporate Pilot also serves as a lead pilot, operating corporate aircraft when necessary.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and management for all flight operations.
  • Supervise, schedule, and evaluate all flight crew members; ensure appropriate staffing for flight operations.
  • Act as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) or Second-in-Command (SIC) as required.
  • Maintain strict compliance with FAA/CAA regulations, international aviation laws, and company operating procedures.
  • Oversee and manage crew training, certification and recurrent training programs.
  • Ensure operational readiness of flight crews and aircraft, coordinating closely with maintenance teams.
  • Develop and maintain the company flight operations manual, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety management systems (SMS).
  • Conduct planning, briefings, and flight duties in accordance with the company SOP with strict adherence to applicable FAA/ICAO regulations.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and participate in inspections, audits and incident investigations as required.
  • Collaborate with executives to plan and coordinate travel schedules.
  • Determine the safest and most efficient routes prior to takeoff
  • Manage flight operations budgets, including fuel, training, crew travel, logistics and inflight service.
  • Conduct regular safety briefings and maintain a culture of safety and professionalism across the aviation division.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable flight regulations, aircraft limitations, normal and emergency procedures.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and care throughout the operation when interacting with passengers, administrators, flight and trip support personnel, other pilots and aircraft maintenance technicians
  • Review and update flight operation policies in response to changes in regulations, technologies, or company strategy.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate or equivalent (ATP)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 5,000 total flight hours, with at least 2,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in multi-engine turbine aircraft
  • Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate
  • Extensive knowledge of Part 91 and/or Part 135 operations
  • Experience managing a corporate flight department or supervising flight crews
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • High standard of professionalism and discretion
  • International operations experience
  • IS-BAO (International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations) experience will be an asset
  • SMS certification or experience implementing safety programs will be an asset

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available for travel on short notice.
  • Must be available for irregular hours, weekends and public holidays.
  • Must be able to pass background checks and random drug and alcohol testing.
