Chef de Cuisine – Asian Cuisine Specialty

Department: Culinary / Food & Beverage

Reports to: Executive Chef / Director of Food & Beverage

 

Job Summary:

The Chef de Cuisine – Asian Cuisine Specialty is responsible for leading the culinary operations of the resort’s Asian restaurant, ensuring authentic flavors, exceptional presentation, and consistent quality. This role involves menu creation, kitchen management, and training the culinary team to deliver an outstanding dining experience that reflects the essence of Asian cuisine.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan, and execute authentic Asian cuisine menus, including sushi, wok, teppanyaki, and regional specialties.
  • Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on Asian cooking techniques and recipes.
  • Maintain proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in all kitchen areas.
  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage food cost controls.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on seasonal and promotional menu items.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams for timely delivery.
  • Address guest feedback and make adjustments to meet expectations.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in Asian cuisine, including sushi preparation, wok cooking, and traditional recipes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Creativity and passion for delivering authentic, high-quality dishes.
