Chef

Responsible for planning weekly menus within budget, preparing and serving meals, and maintaining cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils.

Core Functions:

• Plan weekly menu within budgeted guideline
• Preparation, cooking and serving of meal
• The  cleaning and sanitizing of work areas, equipment, utensils and dishes
• Any other duties as assigned by the manager of the unit.

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least HEART Level 2 certification in HEART Commercial Food Preparation or Equivalent Food course from a reputable culinary training institution.
• At least three years’ work experience in food preparation
• Customer service experience

Other Requirements:

• Valid Food Handlers Permit
• Good personal hygiene and food safety practices
• Courteous and pleasant
• Computer skills
