Cementing Supervisor II

JOB SUMMARY

The Cementing Supervisor II operates under the guidance of the Cementing Operations Coordinator and is responsible for the successful execution of advanced and complex cementing operations. The role involves designing, managing, and evaluating cementing jobs, maintaining operational equipment, and implementing best practices to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency. Additionally, the Cementing Supervisor II oversees the training and mentoring of team members, ensuring compliance with TES standards and procedures. The position requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership, and a commitment to maintaining exceptional service quality.

EDUCATION

• BSc. In Engineering or any related discipline OR
• Any other tertiary level Diploma or Certification in a related field.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of three (3) years’ of hands-on experience in Cementing Operations, including extensive offshore and onshore projects.
• Demonstrated experience with advanced cementing techniques, equipment troubleshooting and operational oversight.

FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

• Job Design and Execution: Leads the design, planning, and execution of complex cementing jobs, ensuring alignment with TES’s Quality Management System and industry standards (e.g., API).
• Advanced Operations: Manages specialized operations, including squeeze jobs, plug jobs, abandonment cementing, and high-pressure operations.
• Troubleshooting: Identifies and resolves technical issues related to cementing equipment and operations, both on-site and remotely.
• Tenders and Proposals: Assists in preparing tenders for cementing services, ensuring technical and financial accuracy, and timely submission.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensures all cementing equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and in optimal working condition.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Supervises data collection for key parameters such as placement of mechanical hardware, mud conditioning, and displacement efficiency.
• Job Documentation: Reviews and ensures the completion of Pre- and Post-job documentation, checklists, and quality assurance reports.
• Inventory Management: Oversees the delivery, storage, and usage of cementing materials, ensuring accurate material reconciliation and cost control.
• Cost Management: Practices effective cost management to minimize operational expenses without compromising quality or safety.
