The Senior Cashier (Supervisor) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cash management team, ensuring efficient and accurate cash transactions, and providing exceptional customer service.

The Senior Cashier (Supervisor) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cash management team, ensuring efficient and accurate cash transactions, and providing exceptional customer service. The Senior Cashier (Supervisor) will work closely with the Finance and Accounting Manager to maintain financial controls and drive continuous improvement in cash management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise the cash management team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.

2. Review and reconcile daily cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.

3. Resolved escalated customer issues, provided high customer service, and maintained strong relationships with key clients. 4. Collaborate with the Finance and Accounting Manager to develop and implement cash management policies, procedures, and controls.

5. Prepare regular reports on cash transactions, discrepancies, and performance metrics for management to review.

6. Adhere to all relevant regulations and internal controls to ensure the security of cash, checks, and other financial instruments.

7. Provide guidance and support to remote Cashier, ensuring their integration into the team and adherence to company policies and procedures.

8. Participate in the planning and execution of periodic audits and cash counts.

9. Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient and accurate inter-departmental transactions.

10. Fully responsible for recording and posting all incoming cheques in the SAP system.

11. Support the Finance and Accounting Manager in other tasks and projects as needed

7. Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal departments, such as Sales, Inventory, and After-Sale Service.

8. Efficiency in managing the on-site and remote Junior Cashiers, ensuring seamless communication and coordination within the team.

9. Adherence to the established work schedule, including the ability to manage the team effectively during busy business days, such as Saturdays.

10. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, staying updated on industry trends, and implementing best practices in the cash management function.

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 CXC subjects.

• At least 2 years of experience in a cashier or cash management role, with at least 2 year in a supervisory capacity.
