Cashier- Ocho Rios Branch

The Cashier is accountable to the Ocho Rios Branch Supervisor for the effective and efficient member engagement, member needs analysis and provision of financial solutions to meet those needs in order that TIP achieves its Mission, Vision and Major Targets.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum two (2) years' experience in a similar position.
• Demonstrated high level of integrity 
• Good telephone techniques and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Excellent numeric, research and sales skills.
• Must have a keen eye for detail.
• Analytical skills/the ability to advise customers on the best product to meet their needs.

The successful candidate will perform the following duties:

• Receive and enter member payment for premiums, loans and savings daily and updating of accounts accordingly. 
• Receive and process Bursar payments on a monthly basis. 
• Prepare daily lodgment for pickup by Beryllium Ltd. 
• Prepare daily report of payments received (Check list, Receipt file, Cashier report) 
• Prepare monthly Combined Bursar File for processing Department. 
• Prepare monthly report for Marketing Department of over-counter payments. 
• Assist members with processing transactions such as withdrawals and loans, claims. 
• Respond to members queries via phone call or emails re account balances and available balances (withdrawal/loan).
