Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join Insurance Operation Services - Revenue Operations and Payment team in the capacity of:
Cash Receipting Associate
Ensure that collected payments across the various business lines are receipted to their intended accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
Receipt the various payment tender types (cash, cheque, bank deposit, debit/credit card, etc,) and accurately report to the supervisor a log of all daily collections within specified service standards.
Collect client payments to update policy and group accounts.
Location: Kingston
As a Cash Receipting Associate, you will:
- Process payments on Smart Cash / CAPSIL with 100% accuracy.
- Collect client deposits and other miscellaneous payments for life insurance policies, mortgage premiums, inter-company, and other miscellaneous payments.
- Update the appropriate records with payment tender type received.
- Identify anomalies with policy records being credited as well as the payment of mortgage accounts and take steps to resolve these issues.
- Process E-Payments for EBA, pension and coop deposits.
- Balance daily cash reports with lodgements and prepare documents and cash/cheques for submission to the bank.
- Advise supervisor/senior clerk about any shortage or excess payment collected.
- Print and submit daily cash report to supervisor/senior clerk.
- Perform any other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Associate Degree in Business Administration or other related field from a recognized institution.
- LOMA (Parts 1 and 2) or other industry related designation.
- Two (2) years work experience including one (1) year in an operations divisions of a life insurance company.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Good human relations and time management skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of insurance policies and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of accounts.
