Carpenter
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our hotel’s maintenance team. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining various wooden structures and fixtures throughout the hotel to ensure a safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing environment for our guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform repair and maintenance of doors, windows, furniture, flooring, paneling, partitions, and other wooden fixtures.
Install and assemble cabinetry, shelves, countertops, and other woodwork as needed.
Repair or replace damaged woodwork in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine measurements and materials.
Ensure all carpentry work complies with local codes and safety standards.
Collaborate with engineers and other maintenance staff to complete larger renovation or improvement projects.
Maintain a clean and organized workshop and inventory of tools and materials.
Respond to maintenance requests from other departments in a timely and efficient manner.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential repair or safety needs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in carpentry is a plus.
Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in a hotel, resort, or commercial environment.
Strong knowledge of wood properties, carpentry techniques, and construction tools.
Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and drawings.
Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
