The Canteen Chef is responsible for preparing nutritious meals for staff. The role focuses on efficiency, food safety, cost control and consistent meal service
Plan menus that are balanced and cost effective
Prepare and cook daily meals according to the menu
Ensure that food is prepared, cooked and stored in compliance with food safety standards
Maintain cleanliness and organiztion of kitchen
Monitor food stock levels and place orders as required
Miimize food waste and control portion sizes
Supervise support staff if applicable
Maintain accurate records related to food safety and kitchen operations
