Call Center Payroll Assistant

Assisting with the preparation of payroll for 800+ employees on a bi-weekly basis.

We are seeking a payroll assistant to help with the preparation of payroll for 800+ employees on a bi-weekly basis.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation of a payroll for over 600 employees on a bi-weekly basis.
• Monitoring the time and attendance of employees.
• Data entry for timecard absences.
• Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, job titles and department/division transfers.
• Review, count, balance and distribute pay slips.
• Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science Degree in Accounting preferred.
• 1-2 yrs prior experience working in payroll and timekeeping within a professional organization.
• Type 45 wpm
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Detail oriented
• Able to work within a deadline
• Excellent organization and communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of personnel.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week
