Kiss Baking Company (Jamaica) is seeking to recruit a Cashier to assist with the daily activities of the Accounts Department by providing support as a Cashier in ensuring that the cash deposited by each Salesman is accurately checked and verified on deposit slips.

 Key Responsibilities

• Collects lodgements from salesmen in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures

•  Verifies that lodgement slips tally with deposit amount disclosed on deposit bags.

• Records each lodgement bag used by the salesmen on the Cashier’s log.

• Inputs data daily, which is used to generate salesmen’ recaps and other reports required.

• Maintain an up-to-date database and filing system.

• Ensures that all valuables held in the safe are secured in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.

• Prepares lodgement for relevant bank account to be collected by courier service

Specific Knowledge and Competency Requirements

• Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices

• Good communication skills  

• Good interpersonal and customer service skills

• Attention to detail

• Competence in the use of relevant computer software

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of Five (5) CXC/GCE O’Levels inclusive of Mathematics, English Language and Accounts.

• One (1) year’s experience in a similar environment.

• Basic knowledge of accounting practices and principles.
