 Business Relationship Manager

Salary Range: CI$83,280 - CI$109,296

                         (US$99,142 - US$130,114)

 
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Relationship Manager to join the Cayman Islands Government and become a vital member of a highly collaborative team “To make the lives of those we serve better” .The Business Relationship Manager will manage a team of Business Analysts and is responsible for analysing and managing the demand for new services across approximately 80-90 diverse business units.

The Business Relationship Manager will lead the Business Relationship function, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and delivering the IT portfolio through effective prioritisation and resource allocation. The Business Relationship Manager will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and identify opportunities for technology innovation, enabling the business units to achieve their strategic goals. Education & Experience:The post-holder must possess:

⦁ Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in science, engineering or business, with at least seven (7) years of related business discipline experience. An M.B.A. or other advanced degree in business or social sciences with at least five (5) years of related business discipline experience would be preferred; OR

⦁ A more mature entrant with an industry-recognized relevant technical accreditation plus a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant post-accreditation experience.

Preferred degrees are in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Management Information Systems. All of the above experience must be in the IT field with leadership experience in similar type of organisation, preferably in a demand management function.

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

The individual must have exceptional leadership skills and experience with the ability to communicate their vision in a way that inspires and motivates staff.She/he must have a proven track record of successfully assisting client business partners in developing IT strategies to align with their business objectives, leveraging their expertise to identify opportunities for technology-enabled process improvements and driving organisational growth.A strong understanding of IT demand management principles and practices is required, with experience in managing demand for IT initiatives in a large organization. Knowledge of IT portfolio management principles and practices is also required, with experience in managing a portfolio of IT initiatives.

The postholder must have experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across an organisation. She/he must be experienced at managing competing demands and priorities, to make sound decisions in a complex, fast-paced environment. A relevant professional certification in relationship management, such as one of the following, would be a distinct advantage:
• BRM Institute – BRMP or CBRM
• ITIL 4 – Drive Stakeholder Value or Business Relationship Management

Experience and a working knowledge of the Government’s organizational structure and functions is also advantageous to this role. Including a solid understanding of budgets, financial controls and HR processes.The postholder will lead business analysts and is expected to have experience with business analysis practices and techniques. A relevant certification from a recoginised institute such as the IIBA or the PMI-PBA is desirable.
