Position Purpose

Under the general guidance of the Assistant Manager – Business Process, this role is responsible for the design, execution, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement of business processes. The Business Process Officer ensures that process outcomes align with the organization’s strategic goals and contribute to overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document, review, and map business processes to identify gaps, redundancies, and inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and subject matter experts to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend solutions for process-related issues.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of process documentation and ensure version control.
  • Provide training and support to staff on new or revised processes.
  • Monitor and track process adoption, escalating risks or roadblocks where necessary.
  • Contribute to change management and improvement projects led by the BPI team.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Tertiary training from a recognized institution or equivalent qualification.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma, ISO 9001, or process improvement methodologies (preferred).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in process analysis, business improvement, or operations support.
  • Strong knowledge of process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Draw.io, Lucidchart).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
