Business Intelligence Manager – Marketing
Main Purpose of Job:
The Business Intelligence Manager – Marketing is a key leadership role responsible for developing and executing data-driven strategies that optimize marketing performance and support commercial growth. The incumbent will lead the analytics and insights function within the Marketing Department, providing strategic guidance through deep data analysis, performance measurement, market intelligence, and forecasting. This role requires a proactive, business-minded leader with strong technical acumen, a deep understanding of marketing dynamics, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Leadership & Strategic Support
- Serve as the Marketing Department’s primary resource for data-led decision-making and strategic business insight.
- Provide strategic counsel to brand managers, marketing managers, and senior leadership on portfolio performance, growth drivers, and consumer trends.
- Lead the design and implementation of a marketing intelligence framework to track brand performance, portfolio health, and investment effectiveness.
2. Marketing & Campaign Performance
- Develop and govern dashboards and reporting mechanisms that track the ROI and KPIs of ATL, BTL, digital, social media, and trade campaigns.
- Lead post-campaign evaluation and present strategic recommendations to improve future executions.
- Partner with Finance to evaluate the impact of A&P spend and support more efficient budget allocation across channels.
3. Digital & Social Media Analytics
- Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics (reach, engagement, sentiment, share of voice) across key platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X).
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to assess campaign effectiveness, content performance, and consumer interaction.
- Use social listening and digital intelligence tools to track consumer sentiment, trends, and emerging topics relevant to the brand portfolio.
4. Forecasting, Demand Planning & Commercial Support
- Support demand planning by aligning brand forecasts with marketing initiatives and volume targets.
- Conduct scenario modeling to assess commercial impact of new product launches, promotions, or pricing strategies.
5. Data Governance & Infrastructure
- Lead the management of marketing data architecture and work with IT and other departments to integrate data sources into enterprise BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Ensure a high level of data integrity, accessibility, and security across all marketing analytics systems.
- Champion the standardization and automation of reporting processes to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
6. Market Intelligence & Competitor Monitoring
- Track and synthesize data on competitor performance, category dynamics, innovation activity, and consumer behavior.
- Produce regular business reviews and reports for executive leadership, highlighting threats, opportunities, and growth pathways.
- Support strategic planning processes with deep market insights and evidence-based recommendations.
Required Qualifications / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Science, or a related field (Masters degree is an asset).
- 7+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence, marketing analytics, or data strategy within FMCG, beverages, or a similar dynamic industry.
- Proven experience leading analytics projects and influencing marketing and commercial decision-making at a management level.
- Proficiency in business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and data modeling.
- Experience with digital analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Brandwatch).
- Working knowledge of SAP systems (especially in Sales & Distribution, Marketing Spend, or CRM modules) will be a significant asset.
