Lascelles Employees and Partners Credit Union is seeking a results driven Business Development Specialist to support its financial operation. The ideal candidate will have experience in generating new business leads: Proactively network and leverage existing relationships to acquire new members.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  •  Develop and execute strategic business development plans: Identify target markets, analyze market trends, and create actionable plans to expand the credit union's presence.Generate new business leads: attend industry events and leverage existing relationships to acquire new members and business clients.
  • Cultivate existing relationships: Build strong relationships with current members and businesses, providing personalized financial advice and solutions.
  • Promote the credit union products and services: Assist in developing marketing materials, conduct presentations, and participate in community events to promote the credit union's offerings.
  • Analyze market data and competitor activity: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Track and measure performance: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to membership growth, loan origination, and revenue generation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with Credit, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.

 

 Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or financial services.
  • Proven track record of success in generating new business and expanding market share.

 

 Knowledge, Skills, Competences and Personal Attributes

  • Strong understanding of the credit union industry and its regulatory environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to apply initiative, work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
