We are seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our Employee Benefits Department, specializing in Group Health and Group Life Insurance.
This role places emphasis on expanding our block of business by identifying and securing new clients through strategic sales, relationship building, and a deep understanding of the market while maintaining our portfolio of Employee Benefits Accounts.
Responsibilities include:
- Drive Growth: Dynamic Business Development Drive who will actively prospect and develop new business opportunities for Group Health and Group Life business in the Employee Benefits sector.
- Strategic Development: Develop and execute strategic plans for the expansion of the Company’s Group Health and Group Life insurance portfolio.
- Client Acquisition: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, from lead generation and qualification to negotiation and closing of Group Health and Group Life deals.
- Client Relationships: Nurture and expand existing Group Health and Group Life client relationships, identifying opportunities for upsell and retention.
- Market Expertise: Analyze the Employee Benefits industry trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and identify growth areas.
- Reporting: Provide detailed sales forecasts and performance reports on the Employee Benefits Department to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Employee Benefits Insurance Sales and Business Development, having an Employee Benefits portfolio, would be asset.
- Very Strong understanding of the Group Health and Group Life insurance market.
- Degree in Management Studies/Business Administration/Marketing or equivalent
- Proven experience in marketing and underwriting of Group Health and Group Life Insurance
- Exposure to training in the field of insurance, would be an asset
- Registration with the Financial Services Commission FSC), preferred
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets, especially Group Health and Group Life Insurance sales targets.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Excellent communication, and presentation skills.
- Fearless negotiation skills, with strong utilization of networking
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and possess strong time management skills.
- Excellent Team Player and strong capacity for building team.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software.
