Business Development Manager

BRIJ INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTORS  is a leading distributor in Jamaica, representing many well-known brands within the market space. They are poised for growth, aiming to expand into new regions and introduce innovative products into their portfolio while cementing their dominance with existing products.

We are looking for an ambitious , energetic, and dynamic Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele and lead this ambitious expansion. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.

The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with old and new clients.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth Planning: Develop a realistic growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Market Expansion: Conduct research to analyze market trends and identify new markets and customer needs by maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, staying informed about competitors’ activities, developing new business relationships that will elevate product quality and surpass customer needs while expanding the company’s customer base.
  • Partnership Development: Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, retailers, and industry partners to enhance BRIJ’s distribution network.
  • Marketing Leadership: Promote the company’s products/services addressing and predicting clients’ objectives by overseeing the  development and execution of marketing campaigns tailored to all markets, ensuring brand alignment with the mission and vision of BRIJ.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and inspire a high[performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration while ensuring high ethical standards and integrity.
  • Financial Involvement: Collaborate with Accountant to develop budgets, forecast revenue, and ensure cost-effective operations while achieving growth targets.
  • After-Sales Care: Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Training & Development of Staff: Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople 

 

Requirements and skills

  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role (10 years experience in business development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within Jamaica’s distribution, retail, or consumer goods sector.
  • Proven sales track record in successfully leading market expansion and driving revenue growth with extensive marketing experience with a deep understanding of Jamaican consumer behaviour and market dynamics.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with ability to inspire and motivate sales teams through excellent interpersonal interactions
  • Strong Strategic Thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on results-driven execution
  • Solid Experience in strong customer support - a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Proficient in Market analysis and budgeting knowledge
  • Excellent Communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport.
  • Excellent Time management and planning skills
  • BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
  • Must own and operate a reliable motor vehicle
