POSITION OVERVIEW
The Business Development Manager is responsible for expanding the companys client base by identifying and engaging healthcare facilities, negotiating staffing contracts, and building lasting relationships with decision-makers. This role requires understanding of the healthcare staffing landscape and the ability to communicate credibly about therapeutic staffing solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and engage prospect facilities including hospitals, SNFs, rehab centres, home health agencies, outpatient clinics, and school districts requiring therapeutic staff.
Develop and execute targeted business development strategies to generate new staffing contracts.
Conduct professional presentations and proposals tailored to the specific therapeutic staffing needs of each facility.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Directors of Nursing, HR Directors, Therapy Directors, and facility administrators.
Negotiate contract terms, bill rates, and service agreements.
Collaborate with the recruitment team to ensure candidate supply aligns with client demand.
Maintain CRM records with accurate pipeline data, activity logs, and account status.
Achieve monthly and quarterly new business targets.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience.
3+ years of business development or sales experience; healthcare staffing, medical sales, or allied health industry strongly preferred.
Understanding of therapeutic staffing roles: PT, OT, SLP, PTA, COTA, and related disciplines.
Proven ability to prospect, build pipeline, and close healthcare facility contracts.
Professional communication with clinical and administrative healthcare decision-makers.
Proficiency in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
