Business Development & Accounts Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Development & Accounts Officer to support financial operations, client billing, payroll administration, and general office coordination. The successful candidate will manage multiple accounts, ensure timely collections and statutory compliance, and provide reliable administrative support across business functions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and update weekly collections and accounts receivable (AR) aging reports
  • Follow up with clients on outstanding payments and issue invoices and statements
  • Record payments, journal entries, and reconciliations using QuickBooks
  • Prepare bank lodgements and reconcile local and foreign currency accounts
  • Process and review monthly and bi-weekly payrolls for multiple clients
  • Prepare payroll reports, payslips, and statutory deduction schedules
  • Upload payroll and tax filings (GCT, payroll deductions) via the TAJ platform
  • Review accounting and payroll invoices and submit to clients
  • Coordinate office services and procure office supplies as required
  • Provide general administrative and client support as needed

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
  • 2–4 years’ experience in accounting, payroll, finance, or administrative support
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and payroll systems
  • Experience with TAJ statutory filings (GCT, payroll deductions)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism
