The Business Analyst - Quality Safety and Environment (QSE) has responsibility for effectively coordinating the operations of the Department/s to meet the needs of the Integrated Management System.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify process improvement opportunities, implement best practices, and fully utilize capabilities within relevant software applications. (InfinityQS, Intelex & Anton Paar Davis 5)
  • Bridge the gap between business and technical teams by translating business requirements into functional specifications for external consultants and internal IT resources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and technical resources to design, implement, and maintain customized system interfaces and functionalities that meet departmental needs.
  • Develop and deliver training programs (both technical and non-technical) for new and existing employees to ensure proficiency in QSE processes and systems.
  • Analyze the impact of proposed changes on existing systems, identifying potential risks and dependencies.
  • Proactively assess how future changes might be impacted by current requests and modifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date information on issues and projects within relevant helpdesk and project management systems.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external resources (consultants, project teams, stakeholders) to ensure all agreed-upon functional requirements are met.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations by providing clear and timely updates on the status of projects and change initiatives.
  • Lead the department's Continuous Improvement Agenda by designing, executing, and reporting on improvement trials.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures for enhanced Food Safety, Environmental, and Health & Safety practices within the department.
  • Manage the Continuous Improvement Agenda in the department by designing, executing, providing recommendations and reporting on trials.
  • Assist in the development of new policies/procedures for improvements of Food Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety for the department.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned within the scope of the job.

 

JOB SPECIFICATION/COMPETENCIES [Minimum]

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Computer Science, or an equivalent field
  • Minimum one (1) year Quality Assurance experience or equivalent
  • Mastery in MS Office productivity tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal including the preparation of reports with the ability to communicate with varying levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation and time management skills
  • Meticulous, with the ability to work on own initiative within a demanding environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point.
  • Knowledge of ISO Standards and auditing would be an asset.
  • Experience using Microsoft Power BI with good understanding of Programming Languages would be an asset
