Role Overview: The Business Analyst will support the delivery of internet and mobile banking initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to deliver customer-focused, compliant digital solutions in an agile environment.
This role focuses on understanding business needs end to end, translating them into clear requirements, and supporting agile delivery from concept through implementation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with product owners, stakeholders, and delivery teams to gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements.
- Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional documentation.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Analyze existing digital banking processes and recommend improvements to enhance customer experience and efficiency.
- Support solution design and validation to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a key liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and shared understanding.
- Support testing activities including user acceptance testing (UAT) and defect resolution.
- Maintain documentation such as user stories, process maps, and release notes.
- Support training, onboarding, and updates to procedures or job aids as required.
- Use data and reporting to support decision-making and measure outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement using agile metrics and feedback.
Qualifications and Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in business analysis, with a proven track record delivering both process improvements and technical solutions.
- Solid background working on Agile and/or Waterfall projects across various sectors — experience in finance, retail, or healthcare preferred.
- Strong preference for candidates with exposure to the financial services industry and regulatory environments.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience using agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong user story writing, backlog management, and requirements analysis skills.
- Experience with process mapping and documentation (e.g., Visio, BPMN).
- Working knowledge of SDLC, APIs, and web/mobile technologies.
- Data analysis and reporting skills (Excel, Power BI, or similar).
