About the Role:

In this role, you will act as a key liaison between the software development team and the Head of IT, while working with stakeholders to gather, prioritize, and translate business requirements into clear technical specifications. You will manage workflows and tasks using Jira or similar tools, oversee project progress, validate systems, resolve technical issues, and ensure successful implementations.

The role also requires strong SQL skills for data analysis and reporting, as well as involvement in dashboard development, user training, documentation, and applying business process modelling to support continuous improvement.

Key Functions

  • Act as liaison between the software development team and the Head of IT
  • Organize Jira or similar workflows and oversee task assignments and status updates.
  • Coordinate system training and knowledge-sharing resources and activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable specifications for technical teams.
  • Analyze and extract data using SQL for reporting, compliance, and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards for leadership.
  • Conduct system validation to ensure successful implementations.
  • Communicate system updates and provide training to end-users as needed.
  • Manage tasks and workflows in Jira or similar tools; monitor ticket status and assignment.
  • Prepare progress and status reports on active projects.
  • Work closely with the IT and business teams to classify and resolve issues.
  • Support the creation of training materials and other documentation.
  • Working knowledge of business process modelling

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Proficient in SQL and understanding of relational databases.
  • Experience with requirements documentation and process mapping.
  • Familiarity with Agile development and tools like Jira or Confluence.
  • Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry experience (Preferred)
