The Brand Manager will develop and ensure the implementation of brand marketing strategies in line with brand portfolio objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for the management of the company assets (brands), achieving sales, contribution and value targets for the brands
Qualifications and Experience:
First Degree in Marketing or Mass Communication or equivalent qualification.
Two (2) years' experience in Sales or Marketing in a similar environment.
Specific Knowledge (however acquired) Required to Start:
Sound knowledge of strategic marketing objectives.
Sound knowledge of local media practices and culture.
Sound knowledge of brand marketing strategies.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Develops brand plans in line with the Company’s planned objectives in order to attain brand profitability.
Commissions research and analyses data to ensure that brand issues are understood and corrective action identified.
Manages advertising agency in order to ensure the achievement of brand objectives as per brand plans.
Defines parameters for trade marketing (merchandisers) in terms of weight, channel and numeric distribution, so as to achieve sales objectives and protect brand image.
Ensures pricing is in line with brand positioning in order to achieve brand equity and maintain portfolio approach.
Ensures current product and new product developments are in line with consumer needs, in order to maintain a competitive advantage.
Meets volume and shares of market (SOM) targets to create/sustain strong brands (growth targets).
Facilitates staff in understanding brand-marketing principles in order to create a future resource.
Recommends and manages all brand activity to ensure they fit with brand strategy and corporate guidelines.
Performs any other related duties as assigned from time to time
