JOB DESCRIPTION FOR BRAND MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE:

The Brand Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and achieve business objectives. This role involves overseeing brand positioning, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels, conducting market research, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver impactful campaigns that strengthen the brand’s market presence.

 

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or related roles.
  3. Proven track record of managing successful brand campaigns and product launches.
  4. Strong understanding of digital marketing, market research, and consumer behaviour.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Brand Strategy & Positioning
  2. Develop and execute effective brand strategies aligned with company objectives.
  3. Establish and maintain a strong, consistent brand identity across all platforms and touchpoints.
  4. Analyse market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities to inform decision-making.

 

MARKETING CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT

  1. Plan, manage, and execute integrated marketing campaigns (digital, traditional, and experiential).
  2. Collaborate with creative agencies, vendors, and internal teams to ensure on-brand messaging and design.
  3. Measure campaign effectiveness and optimise strategies based on data-driven insights.

 

PRODUCT & PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

  1. Partner with product development teams to ensure offerings align with brand positioning.
  2. Oversee product launches, packaging design, and promotional materials.
  3. Manage the product lifecycle and recommend adjustments to improve market performance.

 

STAKEHOLDER & CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

  1. Work closely with sales, PR, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment on objectives and budgets.
  2. Act as the key liaison between management and external agencies.

 

PERFORMANCE MONITORING & REPORTING

  1. Monitor brand health, consumer perception, and market share using research and analytics.
  2. Prepare periodic reports on brand performance and recommend improvement strategies.
