An organization in the General Insurance industry is seeking to fill the position of Underwriter in our May Pen branch. The position entails delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently processing transactions.
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific insurance needs and provide expert guidance and recommendations accordingly.
- Utilize underwriting guidelines and risk assessment tools to accurately evaluate while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Authorize transactions and receipts where applicable on behalf of the Company.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to facilitate smooth processing of insurance applications.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Tertiary level qualifications in a business related discipline;
- Certificate in General Insurance - Mandatory;
- Salesman License - General Insurance - Mandatory;
- Three years of experience in general insurance underwriting, with a strong understanding of underwriting processes and procedures;
Required skills and specialized techniques
Sound proficiency in:
- MICROSOFT Applications Word, Power Point and EXCEL;
- Knowledge in 4D Underwriter is an asset.
