Branch Manager– H&L Rapid True Value May Pen

 Purpose of the Role

To manage the efficient execution of daily store operations to achieve sales and profitability targets through effectively leading employees in delivering an excellent customer experience and managing inventory, sales and expenses within established guidelines. 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Participate in the establishment of annual, quarterly and monthly sales and profitability budgeting and forecasting activities, and drive the achievement of performance objectives
  • Ensure the efficient execution of day-to-day branch operations to enable the achievement of agreed targets
  • Ensure that systems are in place to deliver a memorable experience for customers
  • Ensure employee engagement through efficient management and execution of related activities
  • Maintain inventory quality and levels to ensure service levels
  • Ensure that the branch is consistently represented in a professional manner through adherence to brand requirements and execution of the 5S methodology
  • Ensure adherence to safety and security guidelines, to include availability and use of personal protective equipment by all employees

 Minimum Education & Experience 

  • BSc. in Management Studies, Business Administration, or equivalent,
  • 3 years’ work experience at a supervisory level preferably in a retail environment, with direct, involvement in inventory management and employee relations,
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and Word,
  • Working understanding of the 5S Methodology.
