The AUA-PSPH Health Research Center is a dedicated research unit that supports students, faculty and staff, aiming at the production of research excellence and quality scholarly production. Reports to Center Director.

The MSc-level Biostatistician/Data Analyst-Manager will:

  • Provide data structure, collection, formatting, and analyses for the AUA-PSPH affiliated faculty, students, and programs
  • Provide high quality analytical research support thereby contributing to the academic and research mission of the Center and the University
  • Provide skills to the service of center members and affiliated that include, but are not limited to, the ability to collect, format, manage, and maintain data and data sources, and collaborate in the design, conduction, and presentation of research plans and findings.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Strategic Responsibilities:
  • The Biostatistician-Data Analyst plans, supports, and implements the involvement of internal and external individuals and investigators who will eventually do/interact in/promote/propose/collect or analyze research data.
  • The Data Analyst will assure analytical planning at an early stage in research development.
  • The data analyst will be responsible for data structure, management, cleaning, organization, and other relevant data tasks and responsibilities.
  • The data analyst provides input into all components of research, particularly into plans for inclusion of stratification, variable structure, question topics, and plans for analysis and appropriate dissemination of research findings, when relevant.
Operational Responsibilities:
  • Experience and skills in advanced statistical and epidemiologic analytic principles.
  • Knowledge of and skills in SPSS or SAS stratified and complex samples analysis.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to be trained in any required statistical software.
  • Willingness to be trained in the use of other relevant software as needed.
  • Familiarity with data sources management.
  • Experience in working with these data and in planning ways to address needs for additional research data sources.
