Biomedical Technican

The ideal candidate will install, maintain, and service medical equipment, and provide staff training on its proper use in line with manufacturer guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• At least three (3) years experience in the following, as relates to Biomedical Equipment is preferred:

1. Maintenance
2. Testing 
3. Installation and commencement
4. Troubleshooting

• Strong knowledge of medical devices, electronics and safety standards.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and technical documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Performance of routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on biomedical and laboratory equipment.
• Calibration of instruments an verificaation of performance according to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintenance of accurate service records and documentation.
• Support of staff regarding technical assistance, traininf and equipment troubleshooting.
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards and hospital or industry regulations.
• Assistance with equipment inventory management and lifecycle planning.
• Conducting site visits as required.
