Scope of Role
The Biomedical Equipment Technician will ensure the safe, accurate operation of medical devices through installation, preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install new equipment by adjusting, testing, and calibrating performance
Provide instructions on use and care of medical equipment to relevant personnel
Perform scheduled maintenance inspections on equipment to ensure safe and effective operating conditions
Diagnose equipment malfunctions with accuracy and precision
Repair and replace complex medical equipment and systems
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies
Ensure documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner
Answer queries regarding medical equipment use, care and maintenance
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology or NVQ-J Electrical/Electronic Maintenance Level 3
Three (3) years experience as a Biomedical Technician
Advance Computer skills
Good troubleshooting skills
Good communication, time management, and technical skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
