Biomedical Equipment Technician

We are seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our growing team! This position will install, maintain, and repair medical, lab, imaging and dental equipment. The role will also service small consumer medical equipment.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our growing team! This position will install, maintain, and repair equipment in the outpatient clinic, imaging, lab and dental practice. The role will also service small consumer medical equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Performs maintenance cycles on medical equipment sets to include all maintenance actions.
• Complete technical inspections of new, used, or reconditioned medical equipment.
• Complete repair of damaged medical equipment.
• Complete overhaul of medical equipment.
• Make necessary operational adjustments to electronic equipment.
• Make sensitivity, selectivity, and accuracy measurements.
• Document all work performed, maintains parts, supplies, tools, test equipment and technical literature by completing service reports and supplemental productivity documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintain an accurate and current parts inventory.
• Assist manager in maintaining a comprehensive library of technical literature.

 Requirements:   

• 3+ years of full-time experience servicing biomedical or other electronic equipment.
• Associate degree from an accredited college in electronics -or- completion of a training program in electronics from an accredited trade school.
• Possess the training and abilities to technically inspect, repair, calibrate, and overhaul medical equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and with written communication.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Basic medical terminology.
• Knowledge of clinical application of common medical equipment.
• Routinely exercises logical, progressive troubleshooting techniques at both they systems and component level.
