Billing and Coding Specialist

As part of our Billing team, you will be taking calls from our patients, and working with insurance companies. To do this, you will need to navigate across multiple databases which requires fluency in computer navigation and toggling while confidently and compassionately engaging with the patient.

Key Accountabilities

• Perform posting charges;
• Perform completion of claims to payers;
• Conduct duties in a professional and timely fashion;
• Submit billing data to the appropriate insurance providers;
• Verify patient’s eligibility to ensure proper process of claims;
• Process claims;
• Resolve insurance denials;
• Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided.

Requirements

• Medical Billing and/or Coding experience would be preferred;
• Minimum of at least one (1) year B.P.O. experience in customer service;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
• Minimum of five (5) CXC’s including Mathematics;
• Organization, time management and prioritization abilities;
• Understanding of industry-specific policies, such as HIPAA regulations for healthcare;
• Proficient in English, Good knowledge of additional languages would be a plus.
