Sagicor Employee Benefits Administrator Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Pension Services team in the capacity of:

Benefits Processing Associate

Calculation and payment of benefits to recipients of Pension Plans.

Location: Kingston

As a Benefits Processing Associate, you will:

• Consult Pension Plan rules to ascertain benefits due to members on termination of employment.
• Ensure contribution data required to process benefits are properly checked and added to member accounts for processing.
• Calculate benefits due to members and prepare benefits booklet for approval by Pension Administrator.
• Prepare requisitions for the payment of benefit.
• Ensure proper approvals are received before dispatching payment of benefits.
• Consult Pension Plan rules to ascertain benefits due to members on retirement from the Pension Plan.
• Ensure all documents required to process benefits are received.
• Prepare payment requisition and income tax calculation to request payment.
• Ensure proper documentation are received from client in relation to the deceased member and his beneficiary before processing commences.
• Ensure payments over the Pension Administrators’ limit reflects appropriate signatures.
• Ensure all banking details are entered in database before requesting transfer by way of the Supervisor.
• Ensure payment details are properly entered in database (cheque number, cheque date).
• Ensure appropriate work-flow database is updated each day to reflect work done.
• Organize disbursement activities with other Benefit Processors.
• Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

What do you need?

• Associate Degree in Business Administration, Accounts or Mathematics or related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Loma level I or certificate in other industry specified courses.
• Two (2) years experience in a similar capacity.
• Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
• Ability to manage time.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Adaptability.
