Cashwiz BRB is looking for an experienced Bench Jeweller to support our jewellery repair needs. The Bench Jeweller is primarily responsible for setting, repairing, cleaning, and maintaining merchandise consistent with Company quality standards and service. Must have strong attention to detail, quality control, and strong communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Restore damaged or broken jewellery, select appropriate gems, clean and polish jewelry while maintaining quick turnaround times

• Replace watch batteries

• Repairs broken clasps, pins, rings, and other jewelry by soldering or replacing broken parts

• Reshapes and restyles old jewellery, following designs or instructions, using hand tools and machines, such as a jeweler's lathe, drill, and soldering.

• Adheres to all safety-related procedures to reduce the risk of accidents

• Order and maintain jewellery supplies necessary in the jewellery workshop

• Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize duties, and complete tasks in a timely manner

• Cut and shape precious metals into jewelry pieces using cutting, carving tools,

• Re-size rings made from different metals

• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be reliable, responsible, and punctual.

SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a bench jeweller

• Advanced gemstone and diamond setting skills required

• Must have in-depth knowledge about various types of gemstones and diamonds

• Advanced knowledge of jeweller's tools, machinery, and equipment required, along with advanced jewellery repair knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of various chemical solutions used for jewellery making/repair, and should have experience working with the same

• Expertise in setting/replacing all kinds of gemstones and diamonds with different types of settings

• Should have good knowledge, understanding, and experience in working with various plating solutions
