The Business and Employment Centre is recruiting for the position of Bartender on behalf of one of our clients. Our client is seeking a friendly, skilled, and service-oriented Bartender to join our their team at an exciting tourism and hospitality venue. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating memorable guest experiences, crafting excellent beverages, and maintaining a lively and welcoming bar atmosphere.

Job Title: Bartender

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, as per standard recipes.
  • Engage with guests to provide outstanding customer service and recommend drink options.
  • Operate bar equipment and maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards, including proper handling of glassware and utensils.
  • Accurately handle cash, process payments, and maintain records of bar tabs.
  • Collaborate with other team members to support smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service and adhere to local regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Bartender in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Good math skills for handling transactions.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to bar operations.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts as required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must meet the legal age requirement for alcohol service in Barbados.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
