Baker/ Pastry Chef

Job Title         : Baker/ Pastry Chef

Reports to      : Head Chef/ Head Baker

Job Purpose

The Baker/ Pastry Chef is responsible for creating and baking breads, baked goods, pastries and desserts for our TFL outlets.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Create and prepare dessert menu items
  2. Order food and supplies for dessert menu items
  3. Preparation of baked goods
  4. Research and develop recipes
  5. Assist in the creation and planning of menus and daily specials
  6. Assist in the ordering and re-stocking of kitchen supplies
  7. Assist in the preparation of catering
  8. Any other duty deemed necessary and that befits this position

Qualifications

  1. Associate Degree in Culinary Arts would be beneficial
  2. Minimum of two years as a Pastry Chef is mandatory
  3. Ability and experience in preparing various cuisines
  4. Experience in food safety regulations and procedures are essential
  5. Ability to work well under pressure in an extremely busy kitchen
  6. Positive attitude and personal values that complement the corporate ethos
  7. Ability to work six days a week, be on your feet for long periods and lift 50 pounds
  8. Have flexible shift availabilities and commute between multiple Take Five Ltd. restaurant locations (public holidays, nights and weekends)
