Management and delivery of services at L.F. Wade Airport in accordance with National and International legislative requirements. Responsibility for monthly reporting, conducting trainings, executing quality controls, risk management, and driving performance.
The General Duties include but not limited to:
Minimum Criteria
- Minimum of 3 years Aviation Security Manager experience (preferably Airport /Airline) and a holder of an ICAOAviation Security Manager or IATA - Aviation Security Management or ACI -Management of Airport Security Certification or a Degree in Aviation Management
- Alternatively, ICAO - Aviation Security Instructor, ICAO -Aviation Security National Instructor or IATA –Aviation Security National Instructor
- University Graduate in Aviation, Maritime, Safety, Business Management, and/or National Security
- Five years’ experience in Border Security Management or National Security and/or Military Service (Commission Level)
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of aviation security regulations and implementation.
- Proficiency or strong familiarity with Walk Through Metal Detectors (WTMD), Computed Tomography (CT), Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) systems and their application is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and application of international security programs and regimes including ICAO Annex 17 ‘Standards and Recommended Practices concerned with the security of international air transport’ and the ICAO Security Manual (Doc. 8973).
- Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SEMS) within the aviation industry.
- Knowledge of Emergency Planning and Response for Airlines and Airports.
- Confident in the delivery of written reports, risk assessments and briefings to senior management.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Good customer service skills.
- Decision-making.
- Strong in meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
- Good organizational skills including project management.
- Holder of a valid passport with USA Visa
- Current Police Record Certificate
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for effective reporting and presentations
NOTE
All security personnel are required to be vetted in accordance with Guidelines on Security Screening (BS7858) covering a period of five years. Failure to accurately and fully disclose work history may be detrimental to gaining employment. You will need to be able to evidence a minimum of 5 year’s written work history – this evidence needs to include any gaps of over 31 days and periods of self-employment.
