The Auto Detailer must adhere to safety and quality protocols while completing tasks efficiently and professionally.
Job Summary
The Auto Detailer is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the interior and exterior appearance of motor vehicles. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role ensures vehicles meet aesthetic and cleanliness standards, enhancing both functionality and presentation. The Auto Detailer must adhere to safety and quality protocols while completing tasks efficiently and professionally.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
Wash vehicle exteriors to remove dirt and grime.
Vacuum and clean vehicle interiors including carpets upholstery and surfaces.
Clean window, mirrors and glass components for optimal clarity.
Inspect vehicles before and after detailing to identify any issues or areas requiring additional attention.
Report damages, defects, or maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Operate cleaning and detailing tools safely and effectively.
Ensure all tools and equipment are cleaned and stored properly after use.
Adhere to all safety protocols while using chemicals, tools, and equipment.
Keep the detailing area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
Deliver high-quality detailing services to meet or exceed company standards.
Park vehicles in an orderly manner on premises.
Perform other related duties consistent with the category, nature, function and objective of the job.

Performance Standards
Ensure vehicles meet cleanliness and aesthetic standards.
Complete assigned detailing tasks within specified timeframes.
Effectively coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members to prioritize vehicle readiness.
Required Qualifications & Work Experience
Qualifications
School leaving certificate.
Must possess a valid open general driver’s licence – minimum weigh 4000kg.
Work Experience
At least 1 year’s experience detailing vehicles.
Conditions Related to the Job
For 24/7 coverage the incumbent will be required to work on shift.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Periodic having to work extended hours and attend to emergencies.
Occasionally exposed to noise and unpleasant odours.
