CAREER OPPORTUNITY - AUDITORS

Background

Working collaboratively with our client, an internationally recognized Accounting firm, Profiles Caribbean Inc. is seeking to recruit Auditors who are currently at Intermediate or Senior level. The ideal candidate will be an Accounting professional who is making progress toward their professional certification.

General overview of duties and responsibilities

  • Complete audit planning for review and approval.
  • Preparation and execution of the audit and review engagement programs.
  • Carry out and conduct sufficient audit procedures (both compliance and substantive procedures) to ensure the clients’ financial statements are free from material misstatements and in accordance with the applicable financial reporting standards such as the International Financial Reporting Standard for Small and Medium-sized Entities (IFRS for SMEs), etc
  • Draft and disseminate various confirmations and audit letters (e.g. audit engagements, rep letters, management letters).
  • Prepare lead schedules and supporting schedules for audit file
  • Prepare Financial Statements with accompanying notes.
  • Prepare and analyse cash flow statements.
  • Prepare journal vouchers and posting to the General Ledger.
  • Prepare budgets and quarterly forecast.
  • Prepare financial analyses.
  • Prepare Balance sheet and Profit and Loss analysis.
  • Preparation of various schedules and reconciliation bank accounts.
  • Reconciliation accounts payable & receivable accounts.
  • Conduct and attend regular meetings with senior management to share financial findings.
  • Keep a check on processes and regulations, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Travel to client sites for auditory reviews and assessment.
  • Provide a qualitative and quantitative evaluation based on empirical data findings.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or an equivalent from a recognised educational institution.
  • At midpoint or further re: working towards a recognised professional Accounting certification.
  • A minimum of three to five years’ experience working as an Auditor.
  • An interest in career progression in the field of Accountancy and Finance.
