Overview:
KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS) operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide office support to its member firm KPMG United States ("the Client").
Job Summary:
As an Audit and Risk Management Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting audit teams by managing requests, reviewing artifacts, maintaining evidence repositories, and reporting audit statuses. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and report directly to the Director of Risk Management within the corporate Risk and Compliance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage intake and review of audit artifacts, maintain evidence repositories, and track audit progress.
- Serve as issue manager: track issues, conduct root cause analysis, recommend and verify remediation.
- Analyze trends to identify process improvements and risk mitigation opportunities.
- Develop and maintain risk and compliance metrics and KPIs.
- Advise project teams on compensating controls and stay current on security and risk trends.
- Lead or support small projects, facilitate meetings, and ensure timely completion of action items.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in risk, IT audit, issue management, or security in a professional services environment.
- Proficiency in compliance, audit methodology, IT controls testing, and issue management.
- Preferred: Experience in data analytics.
- Strong understanding of IT security principles, controls, and risk.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
