Overview: Our client is one of the world's leading professional services firms. Due to growth, they are seeking to add a proven professional to the team based in the St. Lucia office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple engagements and other related activities while working with high-profile clients across diverse industries. As part of their global network, you will lead engagement teams that provide comprehensive attest services, including performing audits of financial statements, reviews, compilations, special reports, debt compliance, comfort letters, reviews of interim data, internal control reviews, and regulatory and other compliance reporting.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

• Participate in performing audit procedures, especially focusing on complex and/or specialize issues.

• Collaborate to plan engagement objectives and an audit strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately addresses risk

• Understand the client's industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical and industry developments as well as develop and maintain productive relationships with client management throughout the year.

• Identify opportunities to standardize and optimize Assurance processes across a portfolio of clients.

• Monitor the engagement team's progress against the plan and alter it when needed.

• Lead by example and delegate work successfully.

• Lead a team of Seniors and Associates and make sure the team delivers high-quality work on time and within the budget and as per the company methodology.

• Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback and training.

• Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.

• Generate new business opportunities.

• Stay informed of general business/economic developments and their impact to the client.

• Develop long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally.

 

Requirements:

• A qualified chartered accountant (ACCA or CPA) holding approximately 5-6 years of working experience.

• Experience as a senior auditor for a public accounting firm, or particular business/industry experience to meet special needs would be considered an asset.

• Knowledge of International accounting and auditing standards (IFRS or UK GAAP).

• Excellent project management skills.

• Ability to quickly form strong working relationships.

• A dedication to teamwork and leadership as well as integrity within a professional environment.

• Effective interpersonal, risk management, facilitation and presentation skills.

• Project management, leadership, coaching, counselling and supervisory skills.
