This senior-level position is responsible for managing multiple engagements and other related activities while working with high-profile clients across diverse industries. As part of our global network, you will lead engagement teams that provide comprehensive attest services, including performing audits of financial statements, reviews, compilations, special reports, debt compliance, comfort letters, reviews of interim data, internal control reviews, and regulatory and other compliance reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Client Engagement Management:

  • Develop comprehensive audit strategies and plans that comply with professional standards and address engagement risks.
  • Participate directly in complex, judgmental and specialized audit procedures.
  • Review work performed by staff and seniors to ensure appropriate audit recognition of all important financial statement amounts and disclosures.
  • Manage client expectations regarding deliverables, timing and audit approach while establishing the "value" to be delivered using business insight.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead engagement teams to deliver timely, high-quality service with minimal client disruption.
  • Successfully delegate work to appropriate staff levels and provide team authority to act effectively.
  • Conduct meaningful performance reviews and provide timely coaching, feedback and mentoring to staff and seniors.
  • Create team cohesion while balancing productivity and maintaining focus on achieving objectives efficiently.

Business & Risk Management:

  • Monitor engagement deliverables against plan, manage to budget using firm's tracking systems, and implement billing strategies.
  • Identify and address business and audit risks while keeping clients and partners informed of related issues.
  • Make and defend cost/benefit decisions while exploring resources to increase efficiencies.
  • Benchmark client data to industry standards and provide improvement recommendations.

Professional Excellence:

  • Apply independent professional judgment in complex accounting and auditing matters, interpreting standards and identifying non-compliance.
  • Consult with firm specialists on complex issues and provide guidance to teams and clients on industry practices.
  • Participate in client meetings and business development activities, presenting information effectively in various formats.
  • Maintain compliance with all firm policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Development:

  • Attend professional development and training sessions regularly.
  • Stay current with professional standards, firm policies, and industry developments.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of audit experience in a public accounting firm.
  •  Industry-specific experience is an asset, depending on client needs.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
