Pardassie Chartered Accountants is an ICATT Registered Firm located at the Brentwood Professional Centre, Brentwood, Chaguanas that offers a wide range of assurance, accountancy, and business advisory services to a variety of small and medium-sized entities.

Role Description

As an Audit Associate, you will work primarily as part of a team responsible for the audit of financial statements from planning to completion and providing support for the accounting functions.

• Develop an understanding of the client's organization relevant to the audit of financial statements.
• Obtain and analyze data for the completion of assigned tasks.
• Identify, evaluate and validate controls in an audit.
• Accept personal responsibility for assigned areas and willing to work overtime as required to meet deadlines.
• Assume personal responsibility for own learning, along with training provided on the job.
• Manage internal and client interactions in a professional and respectful manner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize time and communicate potential conflicts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing certification in ACCA or completion of a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Knowledgeable of accounting principles, International Standards on Auditing, and International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant auditing or accounting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Proficient in accounting software such as Sage and/ or QuickBooks.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
