We are seeking a Temporary Audit Assistant to support the internal audit function within a fast-paced investment brokerage house.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Temporary Audit Assistant to support the Internal Audit function within a dynamic investment brokerage house. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a regulated financial services environment while contributing to key audit and compliance activities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the execution of internal audit assignments and audit testing activities.
  • Review and analyze documentation, records, and processes to support audit objectives.
  • Perform compliance and control checks in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate audit working papers and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in drafting audit findings and reports for management review.
  • Support follow-up activities to track implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Internal Audit team as required.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Pursuing or holding a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of audit, accounting, or relevant internship experience preferred.
  • Exposure to financial services, brokerage, banking, or another regulated environment would be an asset.
  • Basic understanding of internal controls, risk, and compliance principles.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
