Our Client is Hiring an Associate Attorney-at-Law


Are you a detail-oriented legal professional with a passion for advocacy and client service? Our client, a dynamic and respected law firm in Barbados, is seeking an Associate Attorney-at-Law to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent and advocate for clients in legal proceedings, mediations, tribunals, and court.
  • Provide legal counsel on rights, obligations, and strategic legal options.
  • Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, conveyances, estate matters, and more.
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on clients' behalf.
  • Maintain strict compliance with legal deadlines, ethics, and internal policies.
  • Manage multiple active legal matters and meet monthly billing targets.
  • Collaborate with legal teams, experts, and consultants.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from an accredited university.
  • Legal Education Certificate (LEC).
  • Called to the Bar in Barbados.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience
  • Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency with legal research platforms (e.g. LexisNexis, Vlex, Westlaw).
  • Strong negotiation and mediation capabilities.
  • Ability to meet billing targets and maintain accurate time records.

Additional Information:

  • Occasional travel may be required based on client and case needs.
