The Assistant Production Manager supports the Production Manager in overseeing daily operations of the production floor. This role ensures that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The Assistant Production Manager helps coordinate workflow, schedules, and personnel, aiming to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards and minimizing waste

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily production activities to ensure timely delivery of products.

• Monitor workflow and production schedules to meet targets and deadlines.

• Support inventory control, raw material usage, and minimize production waste.

• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.

• Collaborate with quality control to maintain product standards and address issues.

• Train and mentor production staff; support employee performance evaluations.

• Troubleshoot production issues and recommend improvements for efficiency.

• Maintain accurate production records and reports for management review.

• Liaise with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is operating correctly.

• Help implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing or other continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Manufacturing Management, or related field (preferred).

• 2–4 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment; leadership experience is a plus.

• Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and quality control principles.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
