As an Assistant Manager in KPMG’s Government & Public Sector practice, you will provide subject matter expertise (SME) in tax policy, public financial management, and regulatory frameworks to support CARICOM governments and regional institutions

KPMG in Caricom is seeking to hire talented, highly motivated Assistant Manager - Government & Public Sector - Tax/ PFM/ RegulatorsAs an Assistant Manager in KPMG’s Government & Public Sector practice, you will provide subject matter expertise (SME) in tax policy, public financial management, and regulatory frameworks to support CARICOM governments and regional institutions


 Job Responsibilities

Advisory & Policy Development:
• 
Design and implement tax reform strategies aligned with international best practices and CARICOM integration goals.
• Advise on PFM frameworks, including budgeting, expenditure control, and fiscal transparency.
• Support regulatory modernization initiatives for financial services, trade, and compliance.

Project Leadership:
• 
Manage multi-stakeholder projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
• Prepare technical reports, policy briefs, and recommendations for government clients.

Stakeholder Engagement:
• 
Collaborate with ministries, regulators, and regional bodies to drive consensus on reforms.
• Conduct workshops and capacity-building sessions for public sector officials.

Risk & Compliance:
• 
Assess regulatory risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Ensure alignment with international standards (OECD, FATF, IFRS).


 Qualification and Experience

•  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in tax policy, PFM, or regulatory advisory within government or consulting.
• Strong understanding of CARICOM fiscal and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.


 Skills and Competencies 

• Experience with donor-funded or regional integration projects.
• Familiarity with digital tools for tax administration and PFM systems.
• Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CFA, or similar) are an asset.
